About Coconuts

Coconut (coco nucifera) is widely known as wonder food for health, because it contains almost all the essential nutrients needed by the human body. They are the seed and fruit of the palm tree family, and are found in tropical regions where they are harvested and mostly consumed. Lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid provided by the coconut is a type of saturated fat that breaks down faster and does not accumulate in the blood stream as much as the long chain fatty acids found in meat and dairy products.
